That was one hell of a break. After several job interviews, moving from San Francisco to East Bay to the Peninsula, squeezing in workout sessions and finding time to fold clothes, I left this gem on the back burner, hoping it would write for itself. Unfortunately, staying on top of the fashion world and creating content that is worth reading was a greater commitment than I imagined. I guess that’s what happens when you have nothing one day and you decide to begin something new. But when something else new in your life begins, you set that other new thing aside and focus on the newest new aspect in your life [at least for me].
So here I am, trying to put words onto paper and deliver a personal passion of mine: writing about fashion and providing my style perception about those who inspire me visually through clothes. As the saying goes, I would be doing this even if I wasn’t paid to do it (or something along those lines). My writing is stagnate, my thoughts are scattered, and the little voice inside is screaming just do it.
But just doing it is easier said than done. Being organized and proactive for myself has been the hardest struggle. I have a self fulfilling prophecy, just like you do. What is it? How will you get there? How does it feel when you reach it? I have been chasing it for years and it is deeply saddening when I cannot be committed or focused when the thing I love most is “write” at my finger tips.
Moving forward, I know the present and the future holds great surprises. I have goals to be reached, places to go, and designers to meet. I believe if you put your heart into whatever you do and believe in yourself, anything is possible. You have to push yourself until you reach that happy place. And boy, am I pushing.
With that being mentioned, I’d like to end on a sweet note and present to you Whit Spring 2016 Ready-To-Wear collection. Though Spring is behind us, it’s recollected as a time for reawakening, rejuvenation, and a new beginning. Please enjoy my favorite looks below and get inspired with the layers, color, styling techniques, and structure of each look that inspired me to post this collection:
